Why Drumtap
Starter ships today. Live connectors, pre-drafted email, and within-rules send sit on the roadmap.
Drumtap started because the same subcontractor can run profitable jobs and stay cash-poor at the office, because the GC portal accepts, modifies, or rejects the invoice in ways the QuickBooks ledger never sees back as ledger entries. The reconciliation cadence and the read-only-Starter dispatch posture below are why those words mean what they mean.
One-line positioning
Upload + self-send (Starter — available today), Connect (planned — Coming next) (Pro — Coming next), Auto-send (planned — Coming next) (Auto — Coming next).
Per case: only after the case is opened and the active-tier rate is unchecked-accepted, the fee applies on cleared amounts attributable to that case. No inferred offsets, backcharges, or cleared funds. Routine and pre-case payments are excluded.
Reconciliation cadence
Starter — Upload + self-send: on each CSV upload
Pro — Connect (planned — Coming next): on each CSV upload (live connections planned — Coming next)
Auto — Auto-send (planned — Coming next): on each CSV upload (live connections planned — Coming next)
Integration method
Starter — CSV upload
Pro — CSV upload (live connections planned — Coming next)
Auto — CSV upload (live connections + banking-feed verification planned — Coming next)
Banking-feed verification is planned and not active; Drumtap does not currently connect to any bank.
Send + refile
Starter — Read-only — Drumtap builds the evidence package; you send it yourself.
Pro — Coming next — Drumtap drafts upload-based dispute emails for your review before they go out.
Auto — Coming next — Drumtap sends dispute emails within the rules you approve and prepares upload-based refile packets; nothing leaves Drumtap on Auto today.
Drumtap never sends email on any tier today. Pro drafts for review; Auto sends within the rules you approve; both are planned and not active.
Human escalation
Starter — You handle follow-through yourself; no human escalation included.
Pro — Long-running items stay in your queue with a status-transition email — no named human handoff today.
Auto — Same status-transition emails as Pro — exceptions stay in your queue with an audit-log entry.
No named bookkeeper or escalation pod is staffed today. Status-transition emails send to the account contact on Pro and Auto; exceptions stay in your queue with an audit-log entry.
The honest framing
Drumtap is qualified today to manual reconciliation and export review. The reconciliation tells you the gap. You decide what to send, when to send it, and when the bank confirms.
What Drumtap does not do — today or on any planned tier — is move money, submit to a GC portal, sign any lien waiver, mark an invoice cleared from a payment notice, or charge a recovery fee. The 2–8% figure you may see elsewhere is illustrative only; Drumtap has not published a fee schedule covering the percentage, the trigger, partial payments, retainage, disputed deductions, or independent payment, so Drumtap does not charge under any band today.
